Semrush starts at $139 a month for the SEO plan on month-to-month billing, or $117.33 a month if you pay for a year ($1,407.96 up front). There are four paid tiers, from $139 to $549 a month, plus a free account limited to one project and ten reports a day. You can buy a single month and stop, which puts Semrush in the minority of the 30 tools we price-check.

Price change history
The month-to-month headline moved from $139.95 to $139 between 20 July and 29 August 2026. The annual rate did not move. A separate change had already happened before our log begins: the Pro tier at $149.95 was retired, and it survived in third-party reviews long after Semrush stopped selling it.

What the pricing page does not tell you
The annual saving, the AI-search paywall and the per-seat charge are what catch people out here.
- The annual saving is real but modest. Twelve months of SEO at $117.33 is $1,407.96 against $1,668 paid monthly, a saving of $260.04, or 15.6 percent.
- Every AI-search feature sits above the base SEO plan. Prompt tracking starts on Starter at $199 a month.
- Extra seats are charged from $45 a month each, so a two-person team on the SEO plan starts at $184 a month, not $139.
