Raptive Requirements 2026: 25,000 Pageviews and the Rules That Come With It
Short answer: Raptive (formerly AdThrive) accepts sites with 25,000 pageviews a month. Below 100,000 pageviews, at least half your traffic must come from the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand or Australia, and the domain must be at least six months old. Raptive cut the minimum from 100,000 in October 2025. On 2 November 2026 we read 16 pages that state Raptive’s minimum, and 5 still gave 100,000. All five still call the network AdThrive.
Raptive is now one of the lowest-traffic routes into a managed ad network, and the UK counts towards its traffic rule, which makes it a realistic next step for a UK blog that has outgrown AdSense. This guide quotes the current rules from Raptive’s own help centre, shows what changed and when, and lists what to have in place before you apply.
Raptive requirements in 2026
Raptive’s help article Who is eligible for Raptive? splits the rules by site size. Both columns below are quoted from it, read on 2 November 2026.
| Rule | 25,000 to 99,999 pageviews a month | 100,000 pageviews and above |
|---|---|---|
| Traffic origin | 50% from the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand and/or Australia | 40% from the same five countries |
| Domain age | At least 6 months | At least 6 months |
| Content | “high-quality, original, and has meaningful human involvement”, plus long-form content on most pages | “high-quality, original, and has meaningful human involvement” |
| Site build | “easy to add, configure, and manage ads” | Not listed |
| Analytics | Google Analytics correctly set up; Raptive asks for read-only access when you apply | |
The two tiers matter for UK sites. A blog with 30,000 pageviews needs 15,000 of them from the five countries; one with 120,000 needs 48,000. Because the UK is on the list, a site written for British readers usually clears the origin rule without trying.
When you apply, Raptive’s Google Analytics help article says it needs “read-only” access and reviews pageviews, sessions, pages per session, visitor countries, time on page, top posts and traffic sources. Its FAQ says reviews “typically take a day or so, but could be longer”.
What changed, and when
Raptive announced the cut in a post headed Opening the door to more creators, last updated 16 October 2025: “we’ll require a minimum of 25,000 monthly pageviews to join Raptive”, replacing what it called its “100,000 monthly pageview requirement”. Search Engine Journal reported the change on 20 October 2025. The same post folded Raptive’s earlier pilot for 50,000 to 100,000-pageview sites into its standard Insider level.
For existing members, the rule for adding a second site moved with it. Raptive’s help page on additional sites says the minimum for Insiders is 25,000 pageviews a month, and that the requirement is waived for its Platinum, Platinum Elite and Luminary levels.
The guides that still say 100,000
We searched Google UK on 2 November 2026 for six phrasings (raptive requirements, adthrive requirements, raptive pageviews requirement, how to get approved by raptive, raptive application, raptive minimum traffic) and read every result that was not a forum, social post or video. Pages about Raptive Community, a separate product, were left out.
| Publisher | Pages read | 25,000 (current) | 100,000 (old) | No minimum stated |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Raptive’s own pages | 10 | 6 | 0 | 4 |
| Independent blogs | 6 | 2 | 4 | 0 |
| Company blogs | 3 | 2 | 1 | 0 |
| News sites | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
| Total | 20 | 11 | 5 | 4 |
20 pages read on 2 November 2026. Five more results were Reddit, LinkedIn or app-store pages and were not read.
Raptive keeps its own house in order: none of its ten pages gives an old entry figure. The 100,000 number still appears on them, but only for other things, such as the threshold for its RPM guarantee and its custom ad layouts. That is worth knowing, because a quick skim of a Raptive page can leave you with the wrong figure.
The five stale pages share a pattern. Every one names the network only as AdThrive, a name retired in June 2023, and none of them shows a visible update after 2023. They still rank because the old brand name is still searched. Contrast our Mediavine requirements check the same day, where four of the outdated pages sat on Mediavine’s own website.
What Raptive pays, and when
The FAQ states the money terms plainly: “Our model sends 75% of revenue straight to publishers”, and payments go out “on the 15th of every month on a Net 45 schedule”, so the first payment arrives 45 days after your first full month of Raptive ads. We did not find a contract length or minimum payout on the pages we read.
Larger sites can ask for a guarantee. Raptive’s RPM guarantee page offers a “15% RPM lift” over what you earn now, for sites that average at least 100,000 monthly pageviews, are already running ads and have earned $20,000 or more in net ad revenue over the past 12 months. Sites earning $20,000 to $100,000 a year get one full calendar month of guaranteed uplift after installation; bigger sites negotiate their own.
Raptive, Mediavine or Journey?
The three now have different kinds of entry rule, which makes the choice simpler than it used to be.
- Under 25,000 pageviews: Raptive is closed to you. Journey by Mediavine takes sites from 1,000 sessions a month from Tier 1 countries.
- 25,000 pageviews or more, mostly from the five countries: you can apply to Raptive whether or not you have earned ad revenue before.
- $5,000 a year in ad revenue already: Mediavine’s main programme is open, so compare its terms with Raptive’s before you move.
Our ad network comparison sets the revenue shares, contract terms and exclusivity rules side by side. If ads are not the right fit yet, how to monetize a blog covers the other routes.
Before you apply
- Count the right metric. Raptive measures pageviews; Journey measures sessions. Check the last 30 days in Google Analytics.
- Check where readers are. Add up the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. You need 50% below 100,000 pageviews.
- Check the domain’s age. Under six months old means waiting, whatever the traffic.
- Read your top pages. Raptive wants long-form, original work with “meaningful human involvement”; thin or mass-produced pages are the risk.
- Make room for ads. A theme that makes ad placement awkward fails the “easy to add, configure, and manage ads” rule.
- Know the niche pattern. On recipe searches, most independent winners run Raptive or Mediavine (food blogger study); small gaming blogs mostly do not (gaming blog study).
Method
Raptive’s requirements and terms are quoted from its help centre and blog, read on 2 November 2026. For the comparison, we searched google.co.uk (signed in, UK location) for six phrasings of the question on the same day, collected 30 distinct results, and read the 20 that were articles or help pages. For each we recorded the publisher type, visible dates, the entry minimum it gave as current, the traffic-origin rule and domain age if stated. Pages updated after 2 November will not match the table. We have no commercial relationship with Raptive, and Blogging Titan does not run Raptive ads.
