Divi vs Elementor: Five-Year Cost, and the Currency Trap in Elementor’s Prices (October 2026)

Divi and Elementor are the two page builders most WordPress bloggers choose between, and they are priced on opposite principles. Divi sells one licence for unlimited websites, by the year or once for life. Elementor sells by the number of sites, every year, with no lifetime option. We read both pricing pages on 3 October 2026.

Elementor’s pricing page also prices by country. On the same day, a UK browser was shown £48 for the plan that costs $60 in dollars. We are flagging it here because those pound figures are easy to mistake for dollars, and we made that mistake ourselves in August.

The verdict

Divi is far cheaper for anyone building more than one site, and cheaper over five years even for one site if you buy the $249 lifetime licence. Elementor is the better choice if you want the free plugin to start with, or prefer to pay per site and start small.

Divi: $89 a year or $249 once, unlimited websites. Pro services $277 a year.

Elementor: Pro from $60 a year for 1 site to $204 for 25. One Agency $432 first year for unlimited, then $540.

Prices read on 3 October 2026 from each vendor’s own pricing page · US dollars unless marked

Where we stand. This site is built on Divi, and the builder links here may earn us commission, two stakes our Stake Test says a reader deserves to know about. Our Elegant Themes review covers our own use. Both are reasons to check our Divi figures twice, and we did.

At a glance

Divi Elementor
Free version None Free plugin
Cheapest paid $89 a year, unlimited sites Essential $60 a year, 1 site
Three sites $89 a year Advanced $108 a year
Unlimited sites $89 a year One Agency $432 first year, $540 after
Lifetime licence $249 once Not offered
AI and cloud extras Divi Pro, $277 a year Elementor One, $180 first year, $228 after

Five years of each

A page builder is a long commitment, because rebuilding a site in a different one is expensive. Here are five years at today’s published prices, with each Elementor One plan renewing at its stated regular rate.

Five-year cost Sites Total
Divi Lifetime Unlimited $249
Divi yearly Unlimited $445
Elementor Essential 1 $300
Elementor Advanced 3 $540
Elementor One 1 $1,092
Elementor Expert 25 $1,020
Elementor One Agency Unlimited $2,592

Divi Lifetime pays for itself against Divi yearly in year three, and it undercuts every Elementor plan over five years, including the single-site one. For unlimited sites the gap is $2,343. The one thing the lifetime figure leaves out is Divi Pro, the AI, cloud and team services, which is a separate yearly subscription.

The currency trap

Elementor’s main pricing page draws its prices in the visitor’s local currency. On 3 October a UK browser saw £48, £72, £84, £168, £144 and £348 for the six plans. The dollar prices, read from the plain-text pricing page Elementor publishes, are $60, $84, $108, $204, $180 and $432. The pound figures are 14 to 22 percent lower in digits, so anyone copying them into a dollar comparison understates Elementor’s price.

That is what happened on our own Divi alternatives page and in a chart on our Elegant Themes review. Our 29 August reading, taken in our browser from the UK, recorded $48, $72, $84, $168, $144 and $348. Those are digit for digit the pound prices shown today, and the dollar figure in our 3 September cost index was already higher. We are correcting both. The old reading stays in the history below, and the correction has its own dated row.

Divi has a different habit worth knowing. Its Pro price rotates with promotions: $277 a year on 29 August, $236 on 4 September, $277 again on 3 October. The core $89 licence and the $249 lifetime licence have not moved once in our log.

Who each one is for

Pick Divi if you run, or expect to run, more than one site, or you want to pay once and stop. The Elegant Themes pricing page shows the current promotion, which changes often.

Pick Elementor if you want to start free and pay only when you need Pro features, or if you would sooner pay per site and start small. Read the dollar prices on the Elementor pricing page with your location in mind. For other builders, see our Divi alternatives.

Questions people ask

Each answer is checked against the dollar prices, not the local-currency ones.

Is Divi cheaper than Elementor?

For more than one site, yes by a wide margin. Divi is $89 a year for unlimited sites, or $249 once for life. Elementor’s unlimited plan, One Agency, is $432 for the first year and $540 a year after, read on 3 October 2026. For a single site, Elementor Essential at $60 a year is cheaper than Divi yearly, but not than Divi Lifetime over five years.

Does Elementor have a lifetime licence?

No. Every Elementor Pro and One plan is billed yearly. Divi is the one with a lifetime option, at $249.

Why do Elementor prices look different in the UK?

Elementor’s pricing page shows local currency. On 3 October 2026 a UK browser saw £48 for Essential, which costs $60 in US dollars. Check which currency a comparison is quoting before relying on it.
