The short answer
SiteGround is running an Early Black Friday sale with no end date shown. StartUp is $1.99 a month prepaid for 12 months, so the first charge is $23.88, and it renews at $17.99 a month. That is a nine-fold step up, against six-fold at the regular $2.99, and the steepest introductory-to-renewal ratio of any host in our cost index. GrowBig is $3.99 renewing at $29.99, and GoGeek is $5.99 renewing at $44.99. On 4 September 2026, before the sale, the introductory rates were $2.99, $4.99 and $7.99.

Every figure held from 20 July to 4 September 2026, a window in which Bluehost’s and Hostinger’s introductory prices rose. On 5 November 2026 an Early Black Friday sale cut StartUp to $1.99, GrowBig to $3.99 and GoGeek to $5.99, with no end date shown. A read earlier the same day still returned the regular $2.99, $4.99 and $7.99. No renewal rate has moved in any of our readings. Year two on StartUp costs $215.88 against $23.88 for year one at the sale price.

- The renewal is nine times the sale rate on StartUp, and six times the regular $2.99, the widest gap in our cost index either way.
- siteground.com redirects a United Kingdom connection to siteground.co.uk and prices in pounds. To read dollars you have to set the region to United States in the footer and reload.
- StartUp is capped at one website. The unlimited-sites tier is GrowBig, at $29.99 a month on renewal.
