The short answer
beehiiv’s free plan covers up to 2,500 subscribers. The paid plans are now Lite and Pro, which replaced Scale and Max between our 4 September and 3 October 2026 readings. At 1,000 subscribers Lite is $59 a month month-to-month, or $49 a month billed yearly ($588 a year), and Pro is $109 a month or $95 a month billed yearly ($1,140 a year). Prices rise with your subscriber count. The page opens on yearly billing, so the large figures are the annual rates.

beehiiv replaced Scale and Max with Lite and Pro between our 4 September and 3 October 2026 readings. On 4 September Scale was $49 a month or $517 a year. On 3 October and again on 5 November, at 1,000 subscribers, Lite was $59 a month or $49 a month billed yearly, and Pro was $109 or $95. The free plan, which our September readings called Launch, still covers 2,500 subscribers. The headline figures are still the annual rates, and the monthly rates appear only after switching the billing toggle.

- Scale and Max are gone. A review quoting Scale at $43 or $49 a month describes a plan beehiiv no longer sells. The nearest current plan is Lite, at $49 a month billed yearly or $59 month-to-month at 1,000 subscribers.
- At 1,000 subscribers yearly billing saves $120 a year on Lite and $168 on Pro, or 16.9 and 12.8 percent. The yearly totals are our arithmetic: the page shows a monthly figure under yearly billing and prints no yearly total.
- The price moves with the subscriber slider. At 2,500 subscribers Lite is $79 a month or $69 billed yearly. At 10,000 it is $139 or $119.
